There may be no new products showing up on the pegs, but that’s not stopping the flow of new product images! Today’s Moving Parts leaks once again come from @ada_313 on Instagram, so be sure to check out their post and show them some love!

The 2025 BMW M5 Touring is easily the model I’m most excited for from this batch! I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since it was first teased at the Gathering last July, and I’m glad to see it debut in the best color possible! This metallic teal color is always the spec I picture a new M5 in, and the 10 spoke wheels feel like a great choice. Obviously, the packaging prevents us from seeing too many of the casting’s details, but I am a bit concerned about the fitment of the hood. There looks to be a bit of a gap at the back of the hood where it connects to the base of the A pillar – hopefully that’s just an error on this specific example.
Speaking of errors, I can’t help but notice that Matchbox forgot the front door jam on the card art! Oops!

SN95 Mustangs seem to be having a moment in the diecast world right now. After decades as the least desirable Mustang model, it seems like they’re suddenly getting some love! This white Moving Parts Mustang with an opening hood follows hot on the heels of Hot Wheels’ RLC Cobra R. I wasn’t sure about the proportions of this Matchbox Mustang when we first saw the 3D print of it at the Gathering, but it looks far better now that it’s wearing its final deco. I’ll have to wait until I get one in hand to make a final judgement, but it certainly seems promising!

The Huracan Sterrato was my favorite Moving Parts of last year, so I’m stoked to see it returning for a recolor so quickly! Technically, this is the third version, since it also recently saw a premium Collectors release, but that version felt let down by its premium wheels and unnecessarily busy deco. This looks to be a solid return-to-form for this casting, with a similar deco and the same wheels as that original green Moving Parts version. I’m still hoping to see a clean yellow Sterrato someday, but I’ll also pick up this white version in a heartbeat.

I found the opening rear doors on the Moving Parts Jeep Grand Cherokee to be a confusing choice when it made its debut in the National Parks livery. This new recolor certainly doesn’t do anything to explain the door situation – at least the National Parks version could theoretically be arresting someone and putting them in the back!
This gray version with black racing stripes is an interesting look, especially when paired with the gold wheels. I can’t find any similar-looking special edition Grand Cherokee that it was based on, so I’m not sure what the inspiration was for this deco. It’s not my favorite look, but I’m holding out hope that this version might at least solve the debut version’s lack of rear detailing. If it doesn’t, I’ll be doubly upset by the racing stripes!

The Acura Legend perfectly straddles the line between boring traffic and cult classic, much like the Lexus LS400 from a few years ago. It’s not my cup of tea, but I’m sure it will appeal to plenty of collectors. It would have been nice to see the black trim detailed on the sides, but given that it shares a mix with the exquisitely-detailed Huracan Sterrato, I can’t complain.

I can’t claim to know anything about the 1947 Dodge Power Wagon, but the deco looks cool and the side-opening hood is certainly a unique and interesting moving part!
Given that there are only six models featured here, we can expect to see two of these models doubled up in each case. Personally, I’m hoping for the Mustang and M5, though I also think the Huracan would be a good choice.

In addition to the Moving Parts models, we also got our first peek at the casting for the upcoming 2019 Volvo V90 courtesy of @volvomodelcars on Instagram. It’s a perfect choice of car for Matchbox to replicate, and I’m happy to see that the casting looks very promising as well! I’m particularly impressed with the detail in the grille, with a raised spot for the Volvo logo.
That’s it for this week’s news! It feels like things in the Matchbox world have been very slow lately, so it’s reassuring to see such great models set to release later this year. Now the hard part: the wait!
As always, the list of upcoming models has been updated to reflect this new information.
